Remembering Saint (Brian St. Germain)
Sunday, September 02, 2007 6:30 PM
As many of you know, the org and the United States Marine Corp lost a soldier by the name of Brian St. Germain last year.

This weekend, Karo and I traveled to Santa Barbara, CA and when we walked out of our hotel room this morning, we saw a memorial in the sand. Every week on Sunday's, the Arlington West organization puts up a display and crosses for every soldier that has fallen during the past few years. As we were observing, we could see that each cross had a name and some with pictures, dog tames, etc. The organization offers flowers to anyone to put at a cross if they recognized a name, so we asked about Brian. The gentleman that helped us knew exactly where Brian's cross was, in the front row. His cross was with 3 other ones, someone had asked that the 4 gentleman who died always to be placed together. Also, every time someone visits a cross, a sticker is added to it...Saint's already had 2 stickers on there. This is a testament that he is still remembered.

I know it might be hard to contact his family, but if anyone does, please let them know that he is not forgotten in our hearts...and by others who visit his cross.

It truly is sad, yet inspiring in the same. A soldier that was close to us who gave his all in the name of perpetuating the things that this nation stands for.

I wasn't here enough to know him well, but my thoughts and thanks definitely go out in his name and to his family.

Whether its a war you agree with or not, every soldier deserves our utmost admiration. "Bustin ours to save yours" really does mean something to a lot of us non-soldier folks, and from the bottom of my heart thanks to all of you.

RIP Brian, your service and life will not go without remembrance.

RIP.. I lost a friend this past weekend, not from the war though. Good people die so young.

Inspiring and frustrating at the same time.

I pray God blesses each and every person who fights for this country. I hope you all make it back safe.

For some reason I just can't grasp the concept that a life ends so young.
