Clutch Pedal

Ok, so i'd like to put some aluminum pedal covers on my car, especially the clutch, the rubber has worn and is pretty bad so i'd like to throw some aluminum covers over it. But i ran into the problem while doing so that once the cover was on the car wouldn't start due the clutch couldn't be pushed right to the floor. Does anybody here know of a way to stop this without just by-passing the safety so the clutch needs to be down to start. If anyone knows of a way to just adjust the safety on it so that the clutch doesn't need to be pressed for far i'd love to know.

Thanks
-Adam

You also run into the problem of floating your clutch a little, and with all the times you shift it wears on your clutch.

I would suggest getting smaller bolts on the back of your pedals, or hell, get silicone or something and "glue" them on.

Put the stock rubbers on. Those "pedals" are not worth the hassle.
