I have a 1996 Sunfire, 2.4, auto with an oscillating or rolling idle that ranges up and down about 100 rpm. No DTCs are displayed. Has anyone had a previous experience like this and/or a solution? All suggestions are welcome. Thanks
Vacuum leak most likely or an IAC valve thats faulty.

Rob S, I checked the vacuum @ idle and it was also oscillating between 23-24 in. Do you have any thoughts on this? I will check the IAC also. Thanks for your response. Any other opinions out there?

Yes 23psi is to high. Ths spec is 19-21psi. 2 psi does make a difference.

02 2.4 is 17-22inch hg normal operating vacume at idle
not too sure about 96
also what is you warmed up idle rpm?
