Where do I go to get my CEL read?

I'm really poor atm, and would like to get a free CEL read done if possible. Will a dealership charge me for the read, or would I be better at AutoZone?

alias1429 (now with Ecotec)

dealership will more than likely charge you. autozone and advance auto parts scan codes for free

That Thing Got An Ecotec?

My CEL just went off while I was driving home...so...I guess I don't need to check it. Maybe it was a misfire?
