I have a 2002 cav with the 2200 engine. I bought a new oxygen sensor and im having trouble with the wiring. Its a 4 wire sensor. I don't know which color wire goes to which. Here is what I have.

Car: 2 white, 1 black, 1 gray
Sensor: 2 black, 1 white, 1 blue

Does anyone know which color goes to which? Thanks

already searched, all i found was stuff on 2 wire. i have a 4 wire

I have already read just about every post on o2 sensors, searching is not going to help anymore. This is why I made the post. Its not a typical question I am asking because most people are able to just plug the new o2 in but my wires are disconnected from a long time ago. Now I do not know which wire goes to which... I guess im gonna have to keep splicing and hope to get it right.

maybe buy a Chiltons or Haynes manual???????/

if I remember correctly, I believe it goes 2 black to 2 white, 1 white to 1 black and 1 blue to 1 gray.

Thanks 86svo, but I think thats how I had it hooked up the first time but it was bogging on me.

This sounds like a question that most dealers would actually answer for you. Call them or stop into the service department and just tell them you have a quick question. They should be able to get the diagrams in no time and might even print it out for you. They did for me.
