About to purchase myself a 1997 Cavalier.
Other then brakes, rotors, drums, etc. what all else shold I be looking for on this 95,000 mile car?

Rust, tires, fluids, lines, the clutch (if its a manual), just to list a few.
air filter condotion, oil change freq, spark plugs, ball joints
look at all the fluids... check the gears .. check the shocks .. lights ,listen for knocks in the engine .. over heating problems and so on
Make sure horn works, check to make sure vent speeds 1 & 2 work, make sure both cold and hot works for HVAC, rock front of car up and down and listen for squeaks (worn struts), look for dummy lights in cluster (airbag, CEL, etc.)
wow you guys are relentless i'm talking about common problems these vehicles have
but ya i suppose they're all along those lines
