ok, i cant take my car over to autozone to get it checked, and i have done it before on a diff car, but is there a way to check the CEL Code without a scanner?
why cant you take your car to autozone?
you can always disconnect the battery for a few minutes so the codes reset

cuz its misfiring like crazy, i replaced the spark plugs and its not misfiring as bad
but its still misfiring, andd i dont live close to an autozone. i want to know what code its throwing
The '98's use the OBDII system. You can't read the codes with those old $20 code "scanners". Good luck.
