After spending an assload of money in October to get my car running right again, my muffler strap broke off today!

Oh well, it seems like I replace this part every 2 years to the day. At least is relatively cheap. It was just one of those moments when your standing there staring at the damn part that is broken and you think...."I HATE this car and wish it would DIE and slow painful death, now where did I leave my matches and lighter fluid....."

Jeez, I can't even vent without getting sarcasm.

I'd say those responses were pretty dry and genuine.
Sarcasm would be something like "WOW! That is
sooo unusual. I'd never considered J-Bodies to be the kind of car to have nagging maintenance issues." or "Don't torch your Cavalier! They're irreplaceable!"

Seriously though, you could probably fabricate something better than the stock muffler strap.

Perhaps a wire coat hanger?

Seriously though, for 7 dollars, I'll just buy another one.

maybe coat the new one in something so it doesn't rot so fast
or get a vinyl coated coat hanger

Maybe I'll just rip the whole muffler off and not have to worry about it again!

We don't have emission testing yet where I live. A 2.4 can't be all that loud without a muffler, lol.
