Well, I'm not real balls deep in this project yet. Just bought a 1996 cav in real good shape for 150$ the guy was selling it cheap because it has 150k on it and the engine wont spark.. He didnt have money to do anything with it and as a spare car that he used for gas mileage he just wanted it out..

What i did.. Hooked it up to a cheap code reader.. with nothing to show for it.
The owner claimed it would run for 5 min and then shut off.. /w no spark to follow, so i changed the crank postion sensor...
With no change..
Should i try a good SCAN tool?
What can i do next? ignition module?
It looks tuff to get at, you guys got any tricks that might make it easier?

Any other ideas for things to check or look at???
