Ok.......let me first say thanks for the help I've already got from searching the forum, and for the help I'm sure to get for this question.
So I picked up the car today to replace the solenoid on the starter, tried that and the starter was still not working, so I went and got a new starter, put it in all with no problems.
Then, I thought I'd do the fuel filter as well. What a SOB. It had a 'hand' qucik connect fitting with broken off tabs. After considerable screwing around, I finally got the quick connect off and installed the new fuel filter.]
Now, I tried to start the car with the front end still jacked up and it wouldn't go, I just figured it wasn't picking up fuel. I leveled the car back out, and tried again and again to start it, all with no luck. I made sure to build fuel pressure by turning the key on and off a bunch of times, and the car still isn't starting.
Please help...................

i had the same problem after doing some work under my hood and around my fuel pump, turns out my fuse was blown. could be as simple as that...

Yes, it cranks.
It seems like it is not getting fuel, but I can hear the pump come on for a few secoonds when I turn on the key.
Ok......I checked all the fuses, and switched the A/C relay and the fuel pump relay, and still won't start.
Is there a chance of air in the fuel pump? Is there any way to bleed fuel through the throttle body?
Thanks!
Air shouldn't be a problem, we have flow threw pumps. Did you turn it on, hear the pump run and turn it off for about 10 seconds. Then turn it on again wait for the pump to finish running then try to start. if you didn't let the pump prime up a few times you could still have air in your lines.

Yes, I have primed it lots.
Soooo.. are you going to continue throwing the parts store at it or are you actually going to Isolate the cause and repair it?.
Air in a fuel line is a non issue. If you hear it pumping then I guess it would be safe to say you have fuel pressure but you should check it with a guage to be sure.
If you feel or know you have FP then I'd say the next thing to look for is spark, pull a wire (ohv) or coil tower and hold a screwdriver to the valvecover or something metal and have someone crank it, if you see arcs then you have spark. if not you have an ignition problem.
If you have spark but no start than I'd find a cheap noid light and look for injector pulse, if no injector pulse/FP than I'd look at the ignition switch.

So far the only parts I have bought are the ones that I needed before I caused my own problems......the starter wasn't working, so I got a new one. The fuel filter was past due for replacement, so I got a new one. I installed said parts, then the troubleshooting began.
Next part to throw at it will be a camshaft position sensor, as that seems to be a common problem for vehicles that don't spark. Then if that doesn't work I will investigate the coil pack.
It would probably be a good idea to check for spark before replacing parts which may be faulty and causing the no spark. ?

Oh yes....I did that too. Removed the cover (left the connector connected) and put a lead near a bolt. No spark.
Ok, thats good. It always good to be sure of something before replacing it, saves a fair bit of money too
