swapping a 2.4 into a 2.2 (2001 cavy)

i have a spare 2.4L engine in good shape here... and just found a good deal on a nice cavy with a blown motor... but problem is that the cavy has a 2.2... and mine is a 2.4L LD9... so just wondering what kinda headaches there would be in trying to swap these 2 engines.... i KNOW people have done this before... what all is involved?

Just need the wiring harnesses as well as the VCM. Im not sure about the tranny, anyone?

The bellhousing is different between all engines.

2001 Olds Alero (LD9)
650 whp / 543 ft-lb

so what if i got the tranny from a 2.4L as well?

the tranny that was attached to my 2.4L might still be available...

then i just swap in the tranny and engine... just need computer and harness then?
