Hey everyone i recently turboed my 2.2 ecotec 05 sunfire we think i threw a rod but the car has ran fine from the start...... i recently changed the oil the same day and ppl were saying things such as compression build up from the change i dont really know what to do im trying to return it stock so my waranty will cover it im not sure which way to go im afraid of being denied for the waranty if anyone has anything such as maybe certain motor swaps that fit or what it could be or anything is greatly appreciated... thanks a lot

Unless you have an extended warranty, your warranty is over, I think it was 3 years or 36,000 miles manufacturer warranty.

Huh?

So you turboed it, it ran great, then you changed the oil. People tossed words at you and now your scared? What makes you think that you tossed a rod? Does the engine tick? Is there a big ol' hole in the block?

If you take all the aftermarket stuff off and return it to stock (and don't mention these things to the dealer) they should still honor the warranty. A little immoral, but I would do it too. Also, if you threw a rod, you would know it. See the above "hole punched in your block" statement.

well there is def a hole in the oil pan and thats def where all the oil is leaking from when i threw it or whatever i did i began to hear almost like a police siren like a wistle.... no knocking none of that just that weird wistle sooooo ya i guess im just going to see if the warranty works by the way i have a 100,000 mile warranty with the car 5 year soooo ya. but what i was going to do is get an oil pan slap it on and see how it runs... or buy a compression kit to see if there is comp in all the cyliders .....but im just looking for any info of comments.... thanks
