The key got pulled out when the ignition was in the on position, and now its all f'd up(not my doing).
I guess it damaged the tumblers in the ignition, at first you could jiggle the key in the cylinder and it'd turn over.
But now it wont budge, its stuck in the off position. Sometimes you can manage to turn it back to ACC, but thats it.
What do I do?

You're going to need a new cylinder and probably the key that matches it.
Your car may do 13 sec @ 103 mph, but my car does 146db @ 35 hz.
yeah I have one, my question is can you pull the cylinder out without it being in the on position?
Thats my only issue. I don't want to try to remove it and damage the whole steering column.
You can put the key in, but it won't move in either direction.
The haynes manual says to put it in the on position and pull it out, what is it that holds it in?
I'm thinking the small stud that locks up the steering wheel?

theres a black tab that you push in on the back of the cyclinder. also in the haynes manual i think.
It could be a worn out key... I had that issue. You could try to get a copy of the one you have for $3-4.00 to start, if that doesn't work go to GM with the VIN and get them to make one... Not sure how much that would be. Does it still work for both doors and trunk?
Well I finally had to break out the old cylinder. when it came out.. two of the lock tumblers were dislodge.
Took an hour and half to break out the old lock and then 10mins for the theftlock to reset.
But glad to have the cavfire back.
