Sorta running outta ideas to try on this one guys, 2000 Sunfire GT, Auto, 190,XXXkm's on it, just swapped in a new 2.4 140,XXX, I've been having what seems to be a surging problem, seems like the lock up torque converter is engaging and disengaging, Seems to be usually between 1800-2100 rpm, it will seem kick down a grear, rpm will rises a few hundred than drop back down, was doing it a fair bit on the way to work Friday, tried a few things Friday night, which helped a bit, now it dose it completely at random, went on a pretty big tour today and it only did it once or twice, usually between the speeds of 60-80 KM/h
Anyone got any ideas? Wild guesses?, I checked the fuild and had to much in it, drained some out, will be checking again tomorrow, also changed the tcc controller on the top of the tranz.
Engine surging can be caused by a kinked speedo wire as well. check that. Since it is just a wire, should not be to hard.
