Recently purchased 95 cavalier z24, was told that the power windows/locks/accessories do not work unless you move the ignition (with the keys in it) back toward you slightly after starting. The way the previous owner knew the windows would work was to have the a/c button depressed and when the keys were "adjusted" in the ignition, the green light would light up, but that would mean that the a/c is always on, affecting gas mileage. Now the passenger window did not go up all the way and will not budge even though the a/c light is on. The previous owner felt the problem was in the ignition. I have read about 2 different recalls on this years ignitions, might this have something to do with it? Thank you for all your help.
It could either be the ignition problem you're talking about or a bad window motor.
If one side works and the other doesnt, my guess goes to window motor.

the original problem was the ignition, could that affect the motor, i have been told the motors have been replaced
I suppose it could, but i am by no means an expert with electrical things. An easy way to find out would be to run a 12+ and ground lead to the motor directly from a source (the closest being the cig lighter in the console, its not a switched circuit). if the window moves its not the motor.
I replaced my drivers side window motor 2 times now, and the window still has a hard time moving.

You shouldn't have to "adjust" the key position to make the accessories work. You've got a bad ignition switch. The electrical portion is most likely bad. Pick up a new one, put it in and most likely your problems will go away.
