i am in the process of rebuilding my motor and i stripped the camshaft housing to the cylinder head bolt hole thankfully only one just wondering what is the best way o fix this

this should be in the maintanance section, not general

did you strip the bolt or cross thread the hole????

if you stripped the bolt... use a strip socket and pull the bolt and replace
if you cross threaded the hole, use a tap and die set and retap the hole... if you just messed up the threads you should be able to fix them, otherwise you'll have to go a size up and use a bigger bolt...

pull the cam housing, install time-cert (sp), reassemble.

Or be like me and not worry about the 3 stripped out bolt holes. The bolts only go half way into the threaded portion on the head and it strips out really easy. Eventually i will make some "studs" to correct this issue, but im feeling lazy and just dont have the motivation for this engine.
