Hey, so within the last week I've been having a weird electronic issue. It seems to happen only when I am in reverse, and when I stop, SOMETIMES the car will briefly stall and reset itself all in about 2 seconds. All of the dash lights will illuminate, needles drop, and everything comes back before you even know whats going on. The car will still run, it doesnt need to be restarted. When this happens, the clock resets, and that is the only real after effect.
Has anyone ever had this kind of problem? Obviously it isnt a huge issue, but I just need to know if it needs to be fixed, if its indicative of a larger issue. Even if it isnt, Im getting sick of having to reset my damn clock all the time. I drive an '04 Cav LS, about 54k
Check your connections to your battery, look for corrosion or loose / broken cables. Check the ground to the body from the battery, and the wires going to the starter and alternator. Make sure everything is tight, and there are no breaks in the wire causing a dead short anywhere. Thats a good start/
You could have a fuse link wire burnt out or broken.
