So i have a 2002 with the 2.2 OHV. The car starts up just fine and then it idles roughly and drops the idle until the car stalls out. I have ruled out the IAC and spark plugs... i don't think its a fuel pump because i can smell the gas after the car dies.
I would really like to get some direction on this one. I really would like to not take it to a shop if i could avoid it. Any suggestions are welcomed.
I also forgot to mention that im not throwing any codes
Ive checked the IAT, the Coolant sensor, Im thinking its a fuel issue. but not sure how to find out what it is. Thoughts are a injector is stuck open and flooding the engine, fuel pump is not poducing enough gas, or fuel pressure regulator is bad.
