LN2 Motor Heads I need help.

I have been having oil pressure issues with my LN2 motor. Very low at idle. I was running 20-50 oil in it to get around 6 psi oil pressure at idle. I have taken the motor out again and I have replaced everything on the engine block and had the block cleaned and prepped at a local re-builder. I now do not get the light but my idle is around 600 to 700 rpms and my oil pressure from my brand new electric oil pressure gauge is reading somewhere a little below 10 psi. What is the proper hot idle oil pressure? I know you have to have like 52 psi at 300 rpms. Sorry for the long story, I just cant seem to find a solid answer on what the idle oil pressure (operating temp - warm) is suppose to be at?

you don't specifically mention it but I assume you have replaced the oil pump, correct?
If not, you may want to consider it.

also, you don't say how many miles on your engine or what the dimensions were for the dis-assembly/cleaning/re-assembly. If you simply reused old parts because they "looked good" what you are experiencing could be a "stack up" of tolerances being on the high side. Your oil system needs enough volume and pressure to overcome the "calibrated leaks" aka the clearances of bearings, lifters, pushrods, rocker arms, etc.

Look up "m98 oil pump". this is the earlier oil pump that had more volume and pressure.

idle pressure according to my factory service manual for a warm engine is 56 psi
