i have a 98 z24 cavy, i was trying to figure out what other year transmissions will fit it, it is a manual, i can find automatic transmissions all day on ebay and such but im having trouble sourcing a 98 transmission specifically, i have found many transmissions that fit 00 but thats it, would that be able to link up?

I don't recall if the 00 has the same transmission as the 98, but I know for the sure 98 has the isuzu MK7 transmission. 5 speed.
I swapped this into my 95 3 speed auto (yes, converted from automatic to manual transmission) so I had to make sure.
I just looked and it looks like the MK7 only goes up to 99 years, based on some quick googling.

95-99 have the Isuzu trans. 00-02 getrag would also work with some modification.
Both will need to be from a 2.4 as the bolt pattern is different between the ln2 and the 2.4.
Oh, I didn't know the 2.4 had a different bolt pattern. That being the case, maybe the MK7 isn't the right isuzu code for the 95-99 2.4 motor cars. I only know the 2.2, since that's what I have.
or would an aftermarket limited slip differential (lsd) work for it as well, or would i need to do some modification?
