Friday, July 22, 2005 8:40 AM
Hey, I was going to have work done on my car since the whole suspension (except brakes and tires) are orignal and I have put 125,000 miles on the car. I have all the parts except the brake pads.

I was wondering how much in JUST labor costs would the following cost?

Replace:

Struts (all 4)
Springs(all 4)
Strut Mounts(all 4)
Brake Rotors (and Pads)
New Tires (Mount and Balance) (all 4)
Allignment

Thanks for you help.

you can do the struts mounts and springs yourself on your own and save allot of money, same with the rotors and pads. look for Bradiscool.com there is a spring replacement guide there. If you have the Haynes or Chilton's manual the brakes should be cake. for a tires I don't know, and an alignment should be between $50-70. just depends on where you go.

I'd say $480USD. I want to see how close I can get without going over. This feels like the Price Is Right

My guesstimate using small local shops in WY...

Struts (all 4)
Springs(all 4)
Strut Mounts(all 4)
--------------------------
all of the above for $140-180

Brake Rotors (and Pads) - $50
New Tires (Mount and Balance) (all 4) - $10 each
Allignment - $50 (four wheel)
