or something like that. i just wanna know what lights are supposed to be on when you turn the car to the 'on' position without it running. cause i have a cel, oil light and battery light. then after i turn the car off about 10 secs, the cel flashes once. wtf?

Well, if you open your glove box, there should be a book that explains what the little idiot lights are.

Turn your car on, does the CEL stay on?

If it does then something is wrong.

Try clearing the code, By removing the - side battery terminal, and then try pumping the brakes a few times, that will expell any charge left in the system.

Then reconnect the battery cable. Turn car back on. Do you see the CEL light again?

well i dont have a 'manual' lol. so im just looking for what lights are supposed to come on when in the 'on' position.....

They should all light up immediately when you turn the car to the accessory position, and then turn off one by one. The CEL, oil, and battery lights will remain on due to the fact that the car isn't actually running, so there is no oil pressure or charge from the alternator. Same reason the CEL is on. The computer isn't picking up readings from the sensors b/c the engine isn't actually running.
