Comin home form worjk the other day my car 1987 firenza chugged at a stop sign the check engine light came on. then when i went to accelerate i have very little acceleration. I think it may be the fuel filter cause im running out of things to fix. Please let me know your thoughts
Sounds like it is gonna have something to do with fuel. My grand am did the same thing and it turned out to be the TPS.
anyone else and you meant throttle positioning sensor!!!
mine did that and had a BAD miss in it...it was a fuel injector caused from getting muddy yes muddy gas from a local station

Yes. You're better off getting it from the dealer. I never trust electrical parts from the junk yard.

I blew out my Cat again 3rd time in 5 years any resons why it keeps Happening???
Check your MAP sensor. Had one go in my old Grand Prix and it killed my cat as well. When it totally went I had about 1 cylinder worth of power. Makes it run rich IIRC.
