it's a 2002 2.4l it will turn over and fill my garage with gas fumes but it will not fire. I need help with where to even start troubleshooting it at. thanx for the help in advance.
So crank - no start basically?
Okay lots of things can cause this a starter is on the top of the list. A camshaft or crankshaft position sensor can do this, but usually with them you turn it and get nothing.
Usually a dead a battery you will just get a click-click-click, so i'm kind of leanings towards not that.
I would look first into your starter.

My starter cranks the engine over but it acts like it is not getting a spark to ignite the fuel
You can buy a spark tester for $8 at NAPA.

Thanks i will get one tomorrow and try it out to see if i am even getting a spark to the plugs
I bought the spark tester and i am producing a spark and i just replaced the crank psition sensor, i guess that only leaves me with the cam sensor left on the list of possibilities
Where is the camshaft position sensor located
