high pitched vibration?????? HELP PLEASE!!!!
Thursday, August 11, 2005 10:02 PM
I have a 2001 cavalier with a 2200 OHV engine and when I am racing I hear a high pitched tinging or vibration that starts at about 5000 rpm till the rev limiter kicks in. I have a header that I tightened the bolts on the head and that didn't changed anything. It sounds like something metal and the check engine light came on. the motor runs fine but that noise scares me because I have a feeling that it may have something to do with the head gasket or just the head in general. any help would be greatly appreciated.

The trouble code is ( P0113 intake air temp circuit high input ) and the second one is ( P0133 o2 sensor circuit slow response Bank 1 sensor 1 ) Any of you heard of these? The o2 sensor may be bad because I gutted my cat and am running 2.5" exhaust all the way back from the header and I installed an o2 simulator for the sensor behind the cat. conv. so no trouble codes would appear. would an o2 simulator work for the o2 sensor in the header?
