Ok my brothers 2000 cavalier has some rust on the rear fender. It is just a lil bit of rust. But will it get worse if it is not fixed.
If you live somewhere where they put salt on the roads it will most likely get worse. Use some touch-up paint on it.

yes it will get worse if you dont take care of it. painting over it will not take care of it. if its just surface rust, you need to grind off all the rust then paint. if its all the way thru the metal then you have to cut that section out, weld in new metal then paint
