Just wondering what i need to change the ps pump on a 2.2 96 cavi. like almost a how to on this. is it hard/ easy any info on this will help 100% thank you anything to check for to make 100% sure it is the pump.
Last i looked, atleast on my 2200, the pump is connected to the resevoior. So you need to remove the belt, the 3 bolts i belive holding the pump in place, and disconnected the hose(s) comming from its bottom.

i think it is the pump because the pump is making a squal noise. i lose power stearing like only sometimes mostly when i try to turn without being on the gas. and the fluid level is good it stays filled
I have a 2.4 and my pump is making a high pitch noise whenever I press on the gas. I listened for the noise and its coming from the power steering pump area.
Do you guys think its the power steering pump.???
