I have a 1999 2.2 cavalier. Whenever I turn the wheel to the right, or turn right, my car makes a screeching/squealing sound. It sounds similar to what bad brake pads sound like, but it only does it when I turn right. Could this be the wheel bearing? If not, what could it be. When I turn left it doesn't do it. Only when I turn right.

i would guess brake pads before wheelbearings

I had my wheel bearings replaced a few months ago. I had been driving it & thought that the growling noise was just the old tires I had on it. It would make a sound kind of like some of the truck tires you hear.
Anyway, when I got new tires it didn't go away & that's when I figured out it was the bearings.
Yours could be the brakes or your alignment might be way off. Are your tires wearing unevenly?

The tires had been wearing pretty evenly, i havent checked it since I heard the noise. I am going to check the brake pads first since the car has 75000 miles on it, and I am willing to bet it still has the original brake pads on it.
