i painted my rims on my car. I did 100 grit sand on my rims, then i did 600 wetsand, then i primered them, painted them, and cleared them. I used the rim paint you can get from autozone. It costed me about $30 to do all 4 tires. I taped off front and back of the tire. If you were close to allen, texas I could definately help you do it. My rims have been painted now for a year and none has chipped.

Although it may be cheaper the first time around to paint the rims, powder coating is the best way to go. 1.) it only needs to be done once, and 2.) it extremely durable which proves its worth against standing up against weather. Paint on wheels is asking for it to eventually come off if you do it your self IMO.

well say what you want greenfire, but some people arent loaded with cash. I have had mine done for a over year now and my car has been washed and everything plenty of times and driving around my block and stuff. So i would rather pay $30 for all my rims instead of $300 for a set of 4. I would take the difference of that money and put it into performance. Just my opinion. The rim paint i used is designed for the rims and cost $8.99 a can, and it sticks very well if the rims are sanded and stuff.

I got my rims powdercoated for 50$ a peice! By Pauls Powder Coating. They came out great. Paint may work for awhile but will be more likely to chip it isn't as thick as powder and probably won't stand up to rock chips aswell as Powder Coat either. Paul also offers a 1 year warrenty on his work so if it chips he will redo it.

469-688-0837 is Pauls number
