I do have the sunfire but that is the show car.
I do still have the z but eri loves that car more then the sunfire lol a little odd now that she has the HHR SS, Sunfire supercharged, but loves the 02 z24 with no boost. she is wierd.

a lot of people say that but the manuals in the HHR are not very comfortable to shift for me. and it's more eris car then mine and she wanted an auto.
Get the GM stage one kit, and make sure the dealer has fixed the "no brakes" right after start up with the auto. The dealer installs a vacuum booster / accumulator, if I remember correctly.
I'll try to find the TSB for you.

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some dealers have reported that after installation of the OHB Brake kit per TSB 09-05-22-001A, a CHECK ENGINE light will be on and DTC P258B will be set. Following eSI diagnostics may lead dealers to try reprogramming the ECM or EBCM and also replace the Vacuum pump.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Dealers should check the vacuum line from the vacuum pump to the inline "T" on the main vacuum line to the booster. There is a check valve built into this line near the pump. If the technician can blow through the line in both directions, replace this section of vacuum line. If airflow is blocked in one direction then continue with diagnosis. If the hose is replaced, prior to installation, confirm that airflow is blocked in one direction on the new hose.

Welcome, Auto SS's have problem's till they build vacuum for the brakes. They have been a few accidents reported from it already.
