ok. my q is if i get my exhaust from the header back made wit a hi flow cat and 2.5 pipeing, would i c any gains? it would have the stock header.

you will see some. but not a whole lot as compared to if you had a header. and 2.5 inch is big for you. 2.25 is good enough for your car

Definitely, 2.5" is too big, you will be better off and happier with 2.25". in fact with the mods you have now, a 2" system with mandrel bent tubing and straight through muffler would be good, but if you do go with the mods listed, just stay with the 2.25".

Well think of it this way. If you do a header and cat, you'll be opening up exhaust flow but then it will get chocked back up with your stock piping. If you do high flow cat, your exhaust flow improvement will just be more torwards the end of your exhaust. No matter what you do there will still be restriction which is what you don't want.
If I were you, I would save my money and do it all at once. Go for the 4-2-1 header, magnaflow cat & 2 1/4" piping. You'll be satisfied with the gains. Good luck to you.

your exhaust only flows as good as its smallest point. get the high flow cat first, 2.25 inch pipe, muffler of your choice. then save up and get a header

if i got my header and a new exhaust on when would my stock cat restrict alot of the flow. cause i can get my exhaust made for like 40-60 bucks made. maybe even lower. and if it does restrict alot then by by cat till i get mulah for another

40-60 bucks? make sure thats mandrel or compression bent and not crush bent or flex pipe

i'm guessing you're doing the OBX 4-2-1 header? i installed it a few weeks ago...got it off ebay for $155 shipped...definetly good gains...just have to take off starter, alternator, the little vibration bar, and slide it up through the bottom...you'll be happy with it.
yea. unfortunately im gonna have to drill out the bolts cause there rusted to hell. and i riped the head off one, so that doesnt realy help either
