Does pacesetter produce a good product. There parts are very cheap and i was wondering if they were not made well. Thanks for the input.

They are the only legal CARB stamped header on the market for that J's that i know of. Only issue i have heard was re use the old stock manifold gasket. Email us your car info we have every painted on in stock and a couple ceramic.

If you get one, get the ceramic coat. Save some money and burt paint smell issues.

I got the black painted and got a quote from jethot for $175 to get it coated.
No thanks,

very cheap? they arent espensive but they arent cheap. theyre black header is $150 bucks cause all it is is painted metal and their ceramic coated header is $210 (from gravana) cause its obviously a better coated header. your probally just comparing it to the always over priced rksport header for $400 and some along with the rest of their products.

i put my ceramic coated on the other night and it sounds great and pulls harder so i say go with pacesetter.

actually pacesetter is frowned upon by many other vehicles for producing "poor" quality parts, I dont know how many people I have told I am going to get a pacesetter header and they are like are you serious?

They are good, especially for the money, I have heard more problems with rksport and weapon r and they are way more expensive.

Yeah some people spend the rumor that it's cheap, even the guy at the speed shop here was trying to sell me a DC Sports , when I asked him for a Pacesetter, he told me : The quality of the stainless is not good....blablabla. I got the Pacesetter ceramic coated one and I have no problem, it will be on my car this winter too, so if it's still good after a winter here in Québec it can last long These are good products.

I think people are slowly understanding pacesetter is a good product for the $ compared to others. Over the last year import header sales by pacesetter has increase a lot for us. Soon hopefully you wont hear as much bad talk. I personally think they are a great product and never had any complaits.

i put mine on yesterday , dam auto and lack of room on the 2.4 , kinda made it a pain to wiggle into the space back there

i also installed a high flow 2 1/4 cat and 2 1/4" pipe from the down pipt to cat , and put a flange on the cat to mate with the cat back

im pleased with it , and i have to add a resonator to it now , the rk single cat back is to raspy now , LOL but i knew i needed a resonator before i started

^^^ I was wondering, because with my pacesetter header and rk magnalow cat it does sound raspy as hell when I get on it in the higher RPMS.. I hate that lol.. So a resonator will take care of that?

I do have the 2 1/4 highflow cat as well..

mine only sounds bad when cold still , but it sounded raspy when cold with the stock manifold and cat

and yes a resonator will take care of the rasp

One thing I noticed about my header, is the casting flash that is in the pipes, a grinder cleans it off though...

I bought my PaceSetter 4-1 header brand new over 2 years ago for $115.00 (High Rev Performance). It was wrapped with header wrap (which decreases header life) since the start, and just sh1t the bed with a crack in one of the pipes.

Altogether, I would say I got my money's worth out of it--not a bad product.

I purcahsed the ceramic coated one in the last GP for them through Turbo tech racing for 219.99 shipped. It still sits in the shipping box, waiting for the rest of my needed exhaust parts to arrive then having a full stainless exhaust put together. But i am sure its going to last.
