what does the removal the tuner tube on a 2200 engine do?

nothing..... there isn't one.

The 1995-1997 2.2L models DO NOT have a tuner tube, so don't bother looking! Only the "2200" series engines have a tuner tube (1998-2000 models).

actually, it's the 2.4's that have it

the 2200's have it too. the 2.2's are the ones that dont have it. i removed mine from my 2200(i didnt really notice anything except for maybe a bit more noise)

Not trying to be an ass, but don't post if you have no idea of what you're talking about. The simpliest mistake can screw someone elses car up if they read something mis-leading! Luckily this wasn't anything big.

Also, you won't notice gains from removing it, but you will notice gains from replacing the entire intake system

no i did, i have a rk sport cool air intake, which i will replace with an AEM cold air, but i just wanted to know if it did anything, im probably gonna remove it nywayz for fun
