Saturday, June 18, 2005 7:18 AM
anybody know where i can get a GOOD chip or control module for a 97 2.2L cavvy? i looked in the venom 400 and the jet module, and i have heard both good, and ver bady things about the venom 400, and only good things about the jet. The venom claims to be alot better. so i dont knwo if people are just being babies about the venom 400 because they had huge expectations. Thanks in advance!

only "chip" is those ebay intake resistors that work on some and dont on others, personally i got mine from a 2.2 eco sunfire that didnt do anything for but worked and brought me down a whole 10th on my 2.4

How can you be sure its the "chip" that did it, not something else like a colder day, less humidity, or even just better driving? Those chips cause your computer to dump a lot of fuel, which without the air to back it up, can actually damage your engine.

I got my ecu reprogrammed by ASE and it help quite a bit. I cannot prove anything but i swear that my car is responding much more under hard acceleration. Remove the limiter, higher shift point. Nice purchase but dont have any flexibility.
