Hooking up guages

I finally got my tax money! Ok lately Ive been doing the bon fire thing w/ car, my car being our source of music. But the last few times Ive forgot to let my battery charge, my only source of knowing when it dies or gets close r how my taillights look. Would a AMP or Volt Guage work best?

Another question. I have a 5spd 2200 '98, no tach. I want a tach but ive read you need an adapter. Is there any other way of getting the right RPM reading without using a 2cyl tach? All the places round here only have Sunpro which is 4,6,8 cylinders.

Can anyone give me a wiring diagram for the tach? I assume you can hook the Volt or Amp gauge just up to a 12v source.
Thanks for your help

This tach is made my actron which is the company that makes sunpro. This is identical to my tach except mine doesnt change color.

and when u pull the little rubber gromit off the back of my tach there are 6 switches and you only push the one that is second from the left up. the rest stay down. I have a 01 ohv 5spd and i taped into the factory output for a tach ( from computer in wheel wheel )with NO adaptor and my tach works.
