hey i was wonderinf if a small little leak in the head gasket would give me a power loss. listen to this when i bought the car it had so much torque i could feel the clutch slip when i hit third hard, now i cant do it and i can barely bit a civic with a tranny swap wai and straight through muffler. just seem power has diminished a bit. plus i alway get a crappy start and have to catch him. but the theory about the cluch been bugging me for a while, my plugs were a bit white on the electrode but thats two years of driving. and i have a nasty bog untill 2700 but i was thinkin its the wai,(injen) any info would help alot since i drive everyday and dont notice it much

no my clutch doesnt slip anymore cause there not that much power anymore? i lose a little antifreeze every two months. it got 148000km and i put 50000 or more myself is it time to change it? actually i dont have that chevy antifreeze smell anymore like it was evaporating. i tired of getting beat this car used to be faster i sure of it.

ya back in the dayi could push that sucker hard and the clutch would slip if i leaned on it into third, rpms at like 5000 them they would come down and catch the tranny at about 37000. now cant even beat a civic, im depressed

well you said something about a leak in the head gasket. If there is a leak, that would hurt your performance pretty bad. Check it out.

im guessing since it got many km's, it doesnt over heat, i run the ac often and drive pretty hard too, just the plugs are giving me that feeling and sometimes in the morning white smoke a bit but goes away, but man it had the power to slip the cutch now it doesnt. even a while bck i mised a shift and put it into fifth instead of third and the engine still stay at like 5500rpms then slow came down to catch the trany. what about the nasty bog do all z24 have it?
