Can anybody tell me if a fuel pressure regulator can be put on a 01 cavalier with a 2200 engine?
Are you planning on Boosting? An raising the fuel pressure isn't really necessary with our cars unless your planning on boosting your car.
If you need want to tune your fuel more, an FPR isn't really needed. Check out the Apexi SAFC-2. If you have any questions on it, I can answer it because I have it.

Yes you can. Do you need to? Maybe not.
FU Tuning
it actually depends on the regulator you get , the LT1 camaro or corvette adjustable fpr is a bolt on , caspers electronics sells a bolt on fpr also
1 like rk sports , aem , or the cheap-o jdm 1's on ebay will require alot of work
Is there only one model of the Apexi SAFC-2? like is it universal? I just dont wanna accidently buy the wrong one.

There are 2 types of AFCs. There is a VAFC-2 which is for cars with the V-Tec motors and there is the SAFC-2 which is Universal.

So a fuel pressure regulator won't a difference on ours cars. I know our cars run rich. I have done the basic bolt ons, intake full exhaust that includes header, cams, TB, Underdrive pulley.
