no ones really gonna be able to tell you an "official horsepower and torque number"..each and every car will dyno different. it depends on alot of things, like dyno, mileage and a ton more things.

so even if they did tell you what there stock car did. yours is different so you might have gained more or less

to the crank the listings are 120 HP, and 130 TQ....

however like said each engine from the factory runs different...

if you wanted to chart your gains or losses (in this case gains) then always dyno before adding stuff.

very decent.....

justin cox did the same in hp, and ran a 15 second pass with a 2.2 ohv..... just basic boltons, full body kit....

some 2.4;s and ecotecs on here havent even seen 15;s yet and have dropped upwards of 2000$ in mods into their car.

^^^^^ autos or simply can't drive. Hell I don't consider myself a good driver by any means, and I got into 15's at my third time at the track with no mods except 17" and tires.

15.891 @ 88 mph stock, still getting @!#$ty launches...

^^ it all depeneds on altitude, weather, track condition, tires, launch just to name a few its not always the driver or the car or what ever... lots of variables are involved with drag racing.....

auto is no excuse....

like said,i already pointed out that justin cox in an auto 3 speed at that, with a fill body kit, and basic boltons made it into the 15's...

autos has become the BS excuse for those that dont know how to use em.

kinda like when you hear older people brag about how strong they used to be when they were your age, but stopped exercising cause this or that....

Auto IS an excuse, I'm sure someone who knows as much as you do knows even more than what I know about gearing, and how more gears allow you to stay in your powerband more often. I'm not going to explain it to you because I don't feel I need to.

Besides, going from the general racing scene, a lightly modded street car will almost always be faster if it's a manual than an auto because it has better gearing (assuming same car, engine, modifications, etc.). it's not my opinion, it's a mechanical fact.

Take into account a good driver driving a 5 spd and an equally good driver driving an auto, and the manual WILL be faster.

Also, someone who owns a manual eco or a z24 and can't reach in the 15's after several tries (might be 10, might be 20 passes) should seriously reconsider how they drive their car and seek advice from better drivers.

I have about 120hp to the wheels. That was the last time that I had my car dynoed.

yea... autos are horrid. take a look at my mods list and tell me i should have a 15 second car. thanks to transmission slippage, weak cam, and motor getting wore out, i'm an official 17.8 car... it is quite depressing actually.

I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.

lol what?...if you gave me two thousand dollars I will be in the 14's. ha.

i have an auto with a shift improver...and i DO NOT feel insuperior to manuals with the same horsepower.

and even if you think my auto is slow, if your running over a 16 manual what does that do?

spotabee what all do you have done to your car man?

autos slow? i dont think so. MY automatic Z24 with just the GM supercharger ran 14.7. Thats right on par with the manuals and in some cases faster. At least this way i dont have an excuse when i lose a race. I actually like it, if i beat someone with a manual, they missed a gear or started to high. If they beat me, what are they gonna say i beat an automatic cavalier? To many people look down on automatics as being slow, i look at them as being consistant. Id rather run a consistant 14.7 with my automatic, than be in a manual and run a 14.5 one time, and the rest be 15.3's cause i missed a shift or wasnt in the RPM power band long enough.
