intake size question

is a 2 1/8" internal diameter intake big enough for our cars if yes i am starting my custom intake in a couple minutes (hope to get ans answer fast!

it should be just fine......IAT sensor hole is 5/8 inch.....i had to buy a bit just to drill the damn hole for it my custom one...BTW i used 3" for mine

most all major brands on intakes are atleast 2.63 inner diameter which is a 2 and 3/4 outer diameter....

2 and 1/8 would prob net you some downlow, but starve up top

good for top end, but low end is diminished cause you slow down velocity....

your stock TB is 52 mm, which is rougly a bit over 2 inches (50.8mm)

3 inche pipe has a diameter of 76.2mm....

so basically you bottleneck air flow down low with a 3 inch pipe....

lots of noise, but not really efficient through the lower half of the power band....

yea mine is 3" as are most standard intakes. stick with that.

making the pipe closest to the TB gradually smaller...

cone shaped reducer from the 3 inch to a 2.75 can actually speed up velocity, and possible you will get more resonance from it at higher speeds, which would allow more air to be sucked in.
