i know some of u guys have removed the tire bucket out of the trunk and i was wondering just how much it weights is it worth removing ? any info is appreciated.
the tire well for the spare tire...
shouldnt weigh that much, but if you remove it, make sure you rebrace the trunk area a bit.
only seen one decked out SCCA racer with a j, that had it removed.
i dont think when karo removed his , that it weight a whole lot , id say its less than 10 pounds
true...
but on a side note, they make great cooler tubs at the track for drinks
less than 10 lbs is hardly worth the loss of a perfectly good cooler.
plus you'd just be adding back weight when you fill the hole back in. something has to cover that 30" gaping canyon you cut in there...if it aint metal its glass...you may lose 2 lbs when its all said and done...
