anyone see/try the JBP tbody?

just found this on their site... was wondering if anyone tried it yet

I was considering it since its a lil cheaper than RSM's throttle body and its made from billet aluminum

JBP 62mm tbody

RSM 62mm tbody

what would you guys go with and why? I have some of my own ideas, wondering what you guys think...

why bother its just an OHV

J/K LMAO just read you other thread

it looks like the JBP doesn't have a core charge either.... billet aluminum is stronger but that depents on the type of alloy used aswell... in the end they will both do the same thing since they are the same size.

I noticed it doesn't come with linkages and requires AND they suggest you bore out your upper intake plenum.

I have RSM's TB on my ecotec and it comes with linkages and fits perfectly.

RSM's is worth the difference imo.

i could always swap the linkages over from the stock tbody... its not like i'm gonna use it anymore

I have history with JBP and was kinda interested to try their product... its $10 cheaper, but there's no core charge so I can't send them my old one (i'd rather keep it to restock if I ever need to anyway)

hmm I'm still undecided.... altho I'm favoring the JBP tbody a lil since I don't know of anyone whos used it yet... might as well give it a try

Personally, ignore both products and go with JBPs intake manifold/tb combo product. You get both the TB and the intake manifold cheaper than just the billet TB and RSMs TB.

That intake manifold is for the LD9, does that work with the 2200? I know the tb's arew the same but the ports would be off on the manifolds for the different motors correct?

And I believe the 2.4 has a port for the crankcase vapors to recirculate on the manifold. I may be wrong

I'm going to be getting the RSM one in about 3 weeks, but my question is what size? I plan on getting some engine internals and some other stuff from JBP come tax return time. I will be staying NA till I can find enough money to do a turbo and a way to get around needing to use the car as a daily driver.

My thought was the 59mm with the lower manifold ($180 extra) but your comments will be more than welcome. Thanks for your time.
