Anyone here ever try swapping the pistons and rods on their ecotec?
Just wondering if there are balancing issues when swapping the pistons and rods with the block still in the car. I've seen it in the Performance book, and in the Haynes manual, but just wondering how it's worked for others.
I'm going with Eagle forged rods, and Wiseco pistons with 10:1 compression. Not sure if I should just pull the block and go with a full rebuild, balancing crank, rods, pistons and flywheel, or if I'm ok to just swap the rods and pistons. I'm also having the head redone with upgraded valves, dual springs and ti retainers. So it may be worth it to go to a full rebuild.
Any input is appreciated.
i'd pull the motor out of the car man. honestly. it's really for the best.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
