i was just reading some of the FAQ and i saw where they said that:
"Part of the problem with adding a turbo/supercharger onto the LD9 engine is that it would require recalibration to get the timing right. It would also force you to reprogram the computer for the higher compression ratio, and to compensate for the lean burning condition (too much air) by adding more fuel into the cylinder. Additionally, turbos and superchargers can cause enough pressure in the cylinders to cause the pistons, valves, bearings, or other internal components to explode or damage themselves badly"
my intentions were to completely rebuild another 2.4.....but after reading this would it be easier for me to rebuild a different engine or is this a simple problem to overcome?
i apologize if I am in the wrong forum...but i didnt know if this was a boost or performance questions since it is about the engine.
gm supercharger comes with a reflash...or you can get a reflash from jbody performance...
granted you dont NEED one, but it would help.
as for exploding and etc... depends on how much boost you run.
timing and adjusting your fuel ( piggyback unit in most cases ) are not necessary
under lower levels of boost but if you intend to put some major power down then you
will need to consider these i would suggest you thoroughly read the faq in the
boost forum before you proceed.

Ignition timing might not be fully necessary to change but a piggyback should be necessary to have because most people have experienced some type of fuel issue (most run lean).

sometimes a simple fpr and injectors cut it
