hey tonight i was cruising and this problem ive been having and now im getting bothered by it, the car goes up quick but once it hits 70mph it seems like its no way near as fast as it was going up from 0-70, what tuning should i do to correct this, a/f ratio with the apexi module or what? thanks guys
most likely it's your gearing. factory auto transmissions are definitely not for highway cars.
I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.
would the auto trans shift kit help me any?
if you dont have one yes

Its all the gearing ratio. It is possible to change but i dont know who, if anyone, has done this. I have an auto and i know 3rd is a bitch. It goes all the way to 107 mph. So 3rd gear goes from about 70 - 107, thats pretty long. I would interested if anyone has changed the gear ratios in an auto.
yup....i have....
granted its a 3 speed auto, you can do the exact same in a 4 speed auto....
its a mix of the chain and gears inside the tranny to change the ratios... from 45 to 70, i have no problems accelerating, nor off the line for that matter.....
also look into getting the rsm crank pulley.... anything you can do to lighten rotating mass of any pulley....DO IT.
3rd and fourth are cruising gears, not acceleration gears.

You ever think it could be fuel related?
I know that when I was running rich, I had the same problem. Do you know your A/F ratio?

i have an auto and have the same thing you have, once i get into 3rd gear the car falls on its face. I heard you can replaced 3 and 4 with a 2 and 3 out of the 3 speed.
