Does anyone have a 2.3L HO throttle cable bracket or know of somewhere I can get one? I did the 2.3 HO manifold swap on my LD9 yesterday and everything went fine except for the throttle cable bracket. I ended up having to drill out the holes on my 2.4L TB and put that on with its bracket for the time being. Any help would be much appreciated. Also, one note on the swap that wasn't mentioned in any of the DIY's. You have to remove the bolt for the alternator to get the manifold bolt out. The problem with that is once you get the manifold and spacer in, it sticks too far out to get the alternator bolt back in. I had to shave off half the bolt with a grinder to get it in. I think I stripped it out in the process though because it won't screw in all the way. Just for future people doing the swap, you may have to shave off the manifold on the left side before you put it in so you don't have this problem.

most people I know shave off that top half inch of that bolt. but yeah. that's what I had to do to get that last manifold bolt out.
With the bracket, just go to your local junker and look around for oldsmobiles, Grand Ams, Skylarks, etc with the Quad 4 Engine. and take a good look at the bracket. it should look similar but there is a hole for the cruise control or you could get one with non cruise, the choice is yours.

Forever a work in Progress
Well that is the problem. I live in northern WI and there aren't any junk yards around with those parts. The only ones around here have just the bodies, no engine or engine parts. That's why I'm looking for someone with an extra one.
