1st, Crank pulleys don't make any type of sound. A crank pulley upgrade is either just a smaller version of your crank pulley or weighs lighter than your stock pulley (or both).

What an under-drive pulley does is take away power from other accessories like your a/c and other things that are run off your belt besides your actual motor. By doing this it will result in quicker revs because of the less weight. A non-under-drive pulley is just lighter than stock but the same stock size dimensions.

As far as why it costs $30...it's because it's probably cheaply made. If I were you, I wouldn't deal with them because if they are cheap quality and something happens, your talking about an important accessory that is attached to your motor, you don't want to mess with anything cheaply made.

My suggestion is spend the extra money for quality parts...always remember, cheap price not cheap quality.

You can find them for good prices at www.carcustoms.net (free shipping).

I believe the true pulley is an alternator pulley...I could be wrong. The Unorthodox one is the one you would look into.

Also, if you go to www.rksport.com, they make one for the 2.4 motor also.

RSM has the best pulley in my personal opinion. Lightest pulley on the market, stock size, no effect on your charging system. It's a good deal.
