I read the faq and the top and I still can not figure it out. My stock wires that go to my stock coils only have like 5 wires and the diagram is showing one to each of the eight from the coil. The car is a 02 2200. Is the diagram meant for the 95- 97. I need some help understanding it.
Where you @Karo

you need the msd adapter pieces, which is listed in the parts list in the FAQ... when i wrote that diagram it was for the adapter plates...
if you wanna hard wire it into your ICM, you will need to get a manual and figure out the trigger wires etc....
Thanks a lot.
Here is another question..
Some local guy has been trying to sell me some coils. But they don't look like anthing other than stock coils with an msd plate on the bottom of them. I assume they are msd stock coils replacements. Are they worth getting (50 bucks) or should I save to and get the blaster coils?

msd coils should be red..... thats like their trademark color.
considering new coil packs, 8224 if i am remembering right are 40$ a piece, it might be safer to just go new...
so if i am right, the MSD coilpacks involve no wiring change. they go right in place of the existing coil packs.

its not too bad... once you remove the icm, you can relocate it...
granted i have a 2200, i;ve had my icm and coils, rotated 90 degrees facing up on the side of the engine, all the way back by the powersteering pump, stock location, and also near the radiator....
pretty easy to relocate em.
so you have to relocate the ICM to install the MSD Coilpacks for the 2.2 OHV?

Now, its been a while.. but I'm pretty sure the coils are exactly the same as the factory ones and don't need an adapter plate. It's when you're wiring up the DIS 2 that the adapter plate comes in handy.

dont have to, but it can make it easier on some...
on the older 2.2;s the icm is behind the engine where the oil filter is..
