i have a 2001 cavalier 2200 5spd manual...and i was wondering what is up with the intake manifold and tb from
http://www.rsmracing.com/catalog.htm ? do i just take out my stock intake manifold and then put the rsm tb on it? or what? is it an easy install, can i do it with the engine in? and what sort of gains would i be looking at, is it even worth it?

It just replaces the stock one, I changed the gasket in between the head and manifold but I guess its not 100% necessary.

Yes officer I knew the speed limit was 50
what i mean is buying the aftermarket intake manifold also
what kind of gains would i get with that?

so go with TB and dont go with the IM is what you are getting at?

unless you are boosted, theres really no need for a 62 or 59 mm tb... and if you dont have a 62mm tb, then theres no point in the intake manifold.
take time on the second link, it explains alot as far as how much air you can actually use in a 2200.
yea...sorry i just got to that now lol, so just stick with stock IM and TB and just stick with aftermarket intake and i will be fine, unless i go for boost. (which wont be in the near future thanks to the $3+ gas prices)

more or less, if you add a few mods, look into a 2.3 TB which is 56mm.... that should be more than enough
with the way those two pipes are shaped, more than likely its a generic picture being used.
so i cant say yes or no on that... will have to email em.
ok i see thanks for your help...know of any intake companies (such as aem and what not) that are like that and pretty much take the route of the stock 2200 intake?
