heard of the gtech pro SS? does it work? how?

i saw an ad in a magazine for this:

http://www.gtechpro.com/ss.html

wondering if anyone has it or if it works. how hard is it to install? from what i read it seems you just plug it into your cigrarrete lighter and it picks all that stuff up?

i cant seem to find an explanation of the install. but if its that simple, how the heck does it pick up so much data from the cigarette lighter?

what do you guys think.

GTech works on motion... IIRC, it sticks to your windshield, and senses the movement of the car when you give 'er...

You have to enter the weight of the car EXACTLY, with you in it, or the numbers will be way off.

It's not 100% accurate... but really... what is... (even dyno's can be set up wrong...)

so is the only thing you have to plug in the cigrarrette lighter cord? there are no wires to run to the engine or ECU, correct?

and also....i guess what im asking is, is it worth the $$?

You have to enter in some basic, but very specific, information about your car. The unit itsself has sensors in it. Just plug it into the cig lighter.

remember to keep the info accurate....

from weight of the car, and also keeping the g-tech level...

info you get out will only be as good as you put in...

it all runs off accelerometers, belltech also makes one as well as autometer.... pioneer radios also have a super bad arse one but nears 1400$ for a complete setup.

plug into lighter port...

and it also comes with a computer serial cable to upload stuff into the computer for storage and comparisson.
