extra fuel without boost ?

will adding a bit of extra fuel to the engine while running at full throtle make it run a bit faster or better ?

like, i am not running boost or anything, and saw an interesting mod adding a 5th injector through the throttle body.

even if I use a small injector ?

yes I know more air needs more fuel, but I mean,

can this mod help ?

I need a new sig =(

Adding a 5 injector seems pointless actually. Your stock injectors can handle alot of fuel going through it.

As far as adding more fuel...stock, our cars tend to run more rich which means have plenty of fuel already. Even if you went all motor and raised your compression to 10:1 (2200s are 9:1 stock), I think your stock injectors can handle it.

If you really want to know if adding more fuel is needed, take your car to a dyno shop and they will find where your powerband is and if you need fuel or not. Heck, you might need LESS fuel like in my case cause I'm running too rich.

People are always under the assumption that you always need fuel and that if you get bigger injectors that you gain HP, which isn't true. You only add more fuel if you need it, you take away fuel if you have too much...simple as that.

buy an SAFC and dyno tune it.

I was a retard, and now I'm permanently banned.

SAFC is like a fuel controler like apex ?

Adding more fuel is just going to make you run rich and rob power.

Read up on the IAT mod. That essentially adds more fuel that your engine doesn't need, making you run rich and fouling things up in the long run.

In order to need more fuel... you first need more air. That's what most of these fun things we do to our engines are meant to accomplish. If you can get more air in, then you can burn more fuel and make more power.

yes I know that... I was just asking that question to see if adding a bit of extra fuel will make the car run better or faster ? because nothing is perfect when the car comes stock..... But now I know the answer.....

Besides turbo or supercharger (forced induction) , Is there any way to get more air to the engine ? Like porting an poolish the head, bigger valves, will the compression of the block increase ?

or are this things just make the engine work better ?

SAFC-2 is made by Apexi

An SAFC-2 tricks your computer into changing the signal sent to your injectors to send more or less fuel into your motor. Before you mess with something like that, you need to find out if you need more or less fuel.

N/A cars usually run stronger when it's slightly lean.

Porting and Polishing, yes. Bigger valves, yes but usually are more useful if you are boosted or running higher compression. Increasing compression & block size isn't bringing air into the motor because they are already inside the motor but it will increase the power but you don't want to just open your motor and just start swapping things in and out without knowing your future plans and how much money you really want to spend and learn how everything works.

Well last time i had my car on the dyno, i had all of the mods listed in my reg and the dyno wideband was showing that because of my AFPR seting of 55 PSI i had a huge dead spot at 3500 RPM where it was going dead rich way more than 10:1 so i didnt realize it was the fuel pressure at the time and was using the SAFC-2 to reduce fual at 3500 rpm and slowly the dip go tbetter an i had 11.3 11/4 AFR and thats where mine liked it best, but after 5K to redline it was leaning way out, as high as 16:1 right at 6K, so i tried to add fuel above 5K to bring it back down and maybe pick up some power but no matter what i had it set at, the full 50% for the last run it didnt change a thing.

So im thing the stock 80cc injectors are pretty much maxed out with the stock engine, and when you add mods they just cant keep up.

No back to the fuel pressure thing, i started to get horrible gas milages shortly after that, and the SAFC was back to zero corrections and i decided to take off the AFPR with was the RK Sport Fuel Pressue Riser they sell, andman alive the car felt like it picked up 20 horses, no @!#$, first time out and she pulled like a freight train, but you could still fell the power drop off at 5K, and i have set the SAFC to the full plus 50% since at 5K and above and no change. So again i think the stock injectors are maxed on the 2200 att the stock HP level, or very close to it.

But each car will be different and that just what happen with mine.
